Manda Viola Rhodes


Mrs. J.R. Rhodes Funeral Services Held At Fletcher

Mrs. J.R. Rhodes died in an Anadarko hospital Saturday after an illness of four months. Services were at 2:30 p.m. Sunday in the First Methodist church in Fletcher. Rev. Frank Jones, pastor, preached the sermon. Burial was in the Fletcher cemetery.

Manda Viola Beach was born April 2, 1898 in Wise county, Texas. She came to Oklahoma in 1932. She and Mr. Rhodes were married at Fletcher, December 14, 1946. They came to Carnegie in 1948 and had made their home here since. She was a member of the Methodist church here.

She is survived by three sisters, including Mrs. Ruth Seals, Fletcher, and Mrs. Callie Anderson, Chickasha; a brother, Herschel Beach, and a half brother, Tom Denton, Fletcher, Mrs. Anna Ford, Mrs. Mabel Bell, Mrs. C.C. Luper and Mrs. Harry Jolly, members of Mrs. Rhodes' Sunday school class, attended the funeral from Carnegie.
