Margie Jewell [Nolen] Thorne Pierce

Fletcher - Graveside service for Margie Jewell Pierce, 82, Fletcher, will be at 10 a.m. today at Fletcher Cemetery.

Mrs. Pierce died Thursday, Aug. 10, 2006.

Arrangements are under direction of Hodge Funeral Home, Fletcher.

She was born April 2, 1924, in Pensacola, Fla., to James and Pearl Nolen.

She married G. E. Thorne Sr. of Cement in 1950. She later married Norman Pierce on April 2, 1980. He died Feb. 1, 1999.

She was a caregiver and waitress for most of her life; however, the past few years she worked at her son's shop.

Survivors include two sons and their spouses, Jerry and Terri Thorne of Fletcher, and Donnie Thorne and Kelley Wright, both of Lawton; four grandchildren, Tammy Hileman, Angie Robinson, Donnie Paul Thorne and T.J. Thorne; several great-grandchildren; her ex-husband, G.E. Thorne; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers and four sisters.
