Teddy H. Roden

August 28, 1936 - May 24, 2017

Teddy Hugh Roden, 80, of Norman, Oklahoma passed away on May 24, 2017.
Ted was born to Nathaniel and Beulah Roden, August 28, 1936, in Jackson County, Alabama. He received his Associate Degree from Southern Union College in Madley, Alabama, while on a basketball scholarship. After college Ted enlisted into the Army and was stationed at Fort Sill, Oklahoma. While there he met the love of his life, Donna Sue, who was teaching for the Lawton school system. They married in 1963. Ted and Sue moved to Chattanooga, Tennessee, where he worked at the 3M Company. While there he joined the Order of the Free Masons. The couple moved back to Oklahoma in 1967 to be close to Sue's mother. Ted worked for Dolese, Thomas Concrete, and Coreslab as a quality control inspector.
His enjoyment was fishing, hunting, gardening, and being with family.
He is proceeded in death by his parents, his brother John Roden and sisters Jean Roden and Dorothy Moore.
Survivors include his wife, Sue Roden of Norman, Oklahoma, and two daughters, Kim McClarney and husband Dan McClarney of Purcell, Oklahoma, and Angela Englund and her husband Paul Englund of Norman, Oklahoma. Grandchildren are Jana Gordon and her husband Dr. Joshua Gordon of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and Lundyn, Camdyn, and Robert Englund of Norman, Oklahoma. He also leaves behind nephews and nieces and cousins.
Visitation will be 4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m., Monday, May 29, 2017.
Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 30, 2017, at HavenbrookFuneral Home, Norman, Oklahoma.
Interment followed at Fletcher Cemetery, Fletcher, Oklahoma. Online condolences may be shared at www.havenbrookfuneralhome.com.
