Alvin Roden

August 08, 1930 - August 16, 2017

Alvin Farmer, age 87, of Fletcher passed away Wednesday, August 16, 2017.
Alvin was born on August 8, 1930 in Mountain Park, Oklahoma to Marion and Leona (Brown) Farmer. He grew up and attended school in the Mountain Park area. On March 19, 1957, he married his one true love, Beth Bonds, and they would spend the next forty-three wonderful years together before her death in January of 2001. Alvin was a cowboy his entire life, he rode bulls, roped and farmed his own land. In his free time, he enjoyed relaxing but most of all he loved spending time with his family and friends.
Preceded in death by his parents, Marion and Leona and five siblings, Lorine Barkley, R.E. Farmer, Hazel Jones, Thelma Jackson and Calvin Farmer, Alvin is survived by three children, Janice Steidley and husband Burt of Broken Arrow, David Farmer and wife Kirsten of Fletcher and Timothy Farmer of Elgin; four grandchildren, Richard Farmer and Melissa of Fletcher, Clinton Farmer of Fletcher, Lana Alcorn of Chickasha and Lacy Godwin and husband Aaron of Broken Arrow; two great grandchildren, Sadie Farmer and Haley Farmer and three step-great grandchildren, Dillon, Gage and Michael along with numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Interment will follow at Fletcher Cemetery.
