Israel Garcia Rodriguez

Israel G. Rodriguez was born on December 24, 1960 in San Antonio, Texas to Ynez and Eloisa [Garcia] Rodriguez. He died at his home in Cache on Sunday, November 18, 2012 with his family at his side.

Israel was raised and attended school in San Antonio.

He worked construction most of his life doing carpentry, concrete work, framing, drywall, or just about anything he was asked to do.

Israel moved to the Cache area in 1990 and married Nora Asenap on June 5, 1993 at the Komah Memorial Nazarene Church in Cache with Chuck Bowers officiating.

In his spare time, Israel was almost famous for his cooking; enjoyed music, dancing to old tunes, and singing Elvis songs; loved animals (especially his pet goat "Handsome") and being with his family and friends.

Israel was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Israel Rodriguez Jr; 3 brothers, Ynez Jr, David Sr, and Henry Rodriguez; sisters, Amelia Rodriguez and Soccorro Rodriguez; Nora's parents, Eugene and Clemencia (Tahah) Asenap; and a brother in law, Gene Asenap.

Survivors include his loving wife Nora of the home; 3 daughters, Victoria R. Zepeda and husband Raymond, Elizabeth R. Hoskins and husband Michael, and Carol R. Higgins and husband Zach, all of San Antonio, TX; 4 brothers, Ernest Rodriguez of San Antonio, TX, Abraham Rodriguez of Geronimo, OK, Daniel Rodriguez and wife Elvira of San Antonio, and Jesse Rodriguez and wife Feliciana of Geronimo; and two loving sisters in law, Donna Knowles and husband Terry, and Dena Asenap, all of Cache. There are also many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members and friends that will miss him greatly.
