William "Mike" Scott


Birth date: December 9, 1942
Death date: May 15, 2015

Services for William 'Mike' Scott, 72, will be Wednesday, May 20th 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at New Life Assembly of God, 501 W. B Ave, Cache, OK. Pastor David McCracken officiating. Burial will be in Cache Cemetery.

Mike Scott was born December 9th, 1942 in Hayward, CA to Sterling and Uclee 'Budd' Scott.

Mike started his career as a telephone installer for Western Electric, going to AT&T and retiring with Lucent Technologies in 1999. He is best known for his 'Mike's Fruit & Vegetable Stand just east of Cache. There he enjoyed visiting with his customers and friends and selling produce.

Mike loved it when his children and grandchildren worked at the Stand.

He enjoyed traveling, taking cruises, playing cards with his family and friends, and hunting. Mike was a great camp and holiday cook.

Watching Cache school basketball games was a passion. He was a Ball Man for 2010/2011 Girls Basketball team.

Mr. Scott is survived by his Loving wife Betty 'Walker' Scott & granddaughter Shayla Scott of the home. Son, Shane Scott; daughter, Lorrie Ann Carrow and husband, Michael; grandsons, Justin Carrow, Dillon Carrow, and Patrick Carrow; granddaughters Chelsey Kopaddy and husband Derrek, Amber Carrow and fiance' Ryan Price; great-grandchildren, Josiah Kopaddy, Tinsley Kopaddy and Mason Price: and daughters Shelia, Sabrina, and Stephanie Scott from a previous marriage. Brother-n-laws and sister-n-laws Bill and Joy Rowell; Frank and Sandra Pulis; Dewayne and Becky Wallis; Don and Dee Walker; Mark Hansen and many nieces and nephews.

Mike was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Uclee Matthews; step brother Wayne Matthews brother-n-law Ronnie Walker and sister-n-law Glenda Albertson.

The family will receive friends and loved ones Tuesday evening, May 19th, 2015 from 6-8 p.m. at Whinery Huddleston Funeral Home.
