Tommy Earl Barnhill

Graveside service with military honors for Tommy Earl Barnhill, 71, Cache, will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Cache Cemetery with Chaplain Irv Johnson, Hospice of Lawton Area, officiating.

Mr. Barnhill died Sunday, Oct. 5, 2003, at his home. Arrangements are by Becker Funeral Home.

He was born Jan. 24, 1932, in Oklahoma City, to Earl Grey and Hazel Harwell Barnhill. He served in the U.S. Army in France, during the Korean War. During this time, he played football for the Army. He married Carolyn Sue Drummond in San Diego in 1956. He married Sharon DePasse on July 9, 1969, in Wichita Falls, Texas. He worked for Home Plumbing for 20 years, and retired as an office manager for Central and Western Airlines. He later worked for the director of community activities at Fort Sill until 1993.

Survivors include his wife, of the home; three daughters: Samantha Cole; Wichita Falls, Texas; Brenda Delano, Lawton; and Mikel Barnhill, Wichita Falls; a son, Tommy Barnhill and his wife, Sheri, Lawton; a sister: Betty Craft; Tucson, Ariz.; four grandchildren: Kristen Nauman, Chicago; Josh Delano, California; and Tyler and Trace, both of Lawton; an aunt and uncle, Mr. And Mrs. Nate Matlock, Ardmore; and many other relatives.

He was preceded in death by his parents and many other relatives.
