Jimmy Huddleston

February 10, 1938 - October 20, 2019

Jimmy Huddleston, age 81, of Cache, Oklahoma passed away Sunday, October 20, 2019 at Comanche County Memorial Hospital in Lawton.
Jimmy was born on February 10, 1938 in Sedan, Oklahoma to Auba and Stonewall Jackson Huddleston and grew up in Mountain View, Meers, Cooperton and Cache, Oklahoma. He graduated from Cache High School in 1956 and would later attend Cameron University. He served in the US Navy as a corpsman from 1956-1960. In 1960, Jimmy & Stoney, his brother, bought Cache Funeral Home and in 1970 opened Huddleston's Funeral Home in Lawton. After his retirement from the funeral home he worked for Security Bank & Trust until his second retirement. He was a member of Northwest Church of Christ.
Jimmy was gifted with many talents and abilities. He taught himself to play the fiddle when he was in his mid-50's and loved to perform for others. He had quite an ability to spin yarns and many enjoyed his stories from "When Jimmy was a pup." He also was a Master Craftsman at woodworking, having built his family's home from the basement up and pouring his love into beautiful hand-made wooden furniture and rocking horses for the grandchildren.
Jimmy is survived by his wife, Sue Huddleston of Cache; four children, Matt & Tammy Huddleston of Cache, Darrell & Becky Huddleston of Cache, Tony & Daneice Foster of Tuttle and Tim & Melissa Elliott of Chickasha; thirteen grandchildren, Brian & Lakota Huddleston of Farmington, NM, Stanton & Janet Huddleston of Chattanooga, Rance & Whitney Huddleston of Indiahoma, Keith & Brandi Huddleston of Montgomery, TX, Jamie & Jodi Huddleston of Lawton, Olivia Huddleston & Ryan Shipley of Evans, GA, Carleigh & Elijah Palmer of Oceanside, CA, Parrish & Cammie Foster of Midwest City, OK, Ross & Rachel Foster of Clinton, Ginni Foster of Norman, Chase & Megan Cook of Lawton, Jacob Elliott of Chickasha and Lydia Elliott of Chickasha; fifteen great grandchildren; one sister, Billie Joyce Dupler of Cache; one brother-in-law, Danny & Valerie Bishop of Lawton along with numerous nephews, nieces, cousins and his many Facebook friends that he entertained with fun posts and tall tales.
Jimmy is preceded in death by his parents; one son, Scott Huddleston; sisters, Alice Huddleston and Betsy Lockhart Thompson and brothers, Dearl Huddleston, Earl Huddleston, Johnny Mike Huddleston, Patrick Henry Huddleston and Stoney Huddleston.
