William M. Ferguson

March 14, 1931 - July 17, 2017

William M. Ferguson, age 86, of Cache passed away Monday, July 17, 2017 at Promise Hospital in Wichita Falls, Texas.
William was born on March 14, 1931 in Burlington, Indiana to Jesse and Ella (Durr) Ferguson. In 1949, William enlisted in the United States Army and proudly served his country for over twenty-one years. He did tours in France, Germany, Korea, Vietnam and Okinawa. While in the Army, William received numerous awards, medals and citations before retiring as (SFC) Sergeant First Class. On June 30, 1951, William married his one true love, June Lee Griggs, and they would spend the next sixty-six wonderful years together. After serving in the military, William went to work for Montgomery Wards, where also retired after many years of service. In his free time, William enjoyed camping, fishing and bowling but he loved nothing more than spending time with his family and friends.
Preceded in death by his parents, Jesse and Ella (Durr) Ferguson and nine brothers and sisters, William is survived by his wife June of the home; two daughters, Kimberly Long and husband Dennis of Cache and Donna Warren of Cache; four grandchildren, Jeff Long of Lawton, Jennifer Hosey of Cache, Sarah Norton of Lawton and Meagan Torres and husband Luis of Lawton and five great grandchildren, Jeremy Roberts of Lawton, Lili Pearce of Lawton, Zachery Hosey of Cache, Elizabeth Hosey of Cache and Alexzander Hosey of Cache along with numerous other relatives and close friends.
