Jean Devine

August 07, 1942 - September 24, 2018

Shirley Jean Devine, age 76, of Tuttle passed away Monday, September 24, 2018 at her residence.
Jean was born August 7, 1942 in Opps, Alabama to Myrtle Price. She grew up playing softball and later coached cheerleading. She received a Bachelor's Degree of Nursing from Cameron University. She worked at Reynolds Army Hospital, Comanche County Memorial Hospital and Southwestern Medical Center. Jean married George Marion Devine on August 31, 1958, where they moved to Lawton, OK. During their marriage, they owned the Copper Kettle Restaurant and Tropical Paradise Pet Shop. She was an active member of Bethesda Church and loved helping others. She also helped deliver meals to those in need. In her free time, she enjoyed dominos, gardening and cooking for her family and friends, but most of all, she loved watching her kids play ball and attending family get togethers.
Preceded in death by her husband, George Marion Devine; her sisters, Joyce Nottingham, Mildred Allen and her mother, Myrtle Price. Jean is survived by her daughter, Donna and Jay Roberts of Norman, OK; her son, Mike and Cindi Devine of Tuttle, OK; her sister, Ann Smith Lewellyn of Rockwall, TX; her grandkids, Pam Conway of Newalla, OK, Melissa Conway of Lawton, OK, Dustin Devine of Tuttle, OK, Rustin and Elizabeth of Edmond, OK, Justin Devine of Ft. Worth, TX, Allyson Heimbach of Tuttle, OK and Mason Stidham of Durant, OK; and her great grandkids, Gentry, Emmalyn, Aryanna, Kaydance and Brennan.
