Charles "Chuck" Ange

Charles "Chuck" Ange passed away peacefully in his home on February 4, 2018, after a brief illness, surrounded by his loving family.
Chuck was born August 12, 1939, in Rochester, NY, to Josephine and Charles Ange. He grew up in a large family, and remained close with them until He passed away. He attended East High School in Rochester, New York, graduating in 1958. After graduating from high school, he served in the US Army as a military policeman from 1958 to 1961. While stationed at Fort Sill, Oklahoma, he met and married Helen "Long" Gilbert in October 1960. He and Helen lived in Oklahoma City and Santa Ana, California, before settling in Cache Ok, where he was a beloved member of the community from 1966 until his death. After his military service, he attended Refrigeration and Air Conditioning School. He was employed by the Department of the Army at Fort Sill for twenty-seven years, as a HVAC technician. He retired from civil service in 1991. From the 1970's until his passing, he owned and operated Ange Appliance Service in Cache. He owned and operated the Cache Laundromat the past several years. Chuck was humble and kind, generous of his time, and hardworking. He loved spending time with his family and playing all kinds of games. He especially enjoyed attending basketball and volleyball games, playing pool and ping pong. He was extremely proud of and dearly loved his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who lovingly called him “Popie”, and was always a great source of humor, support, and love to them all. He had a big heart and was kind to everyone he met.
Preceded in death by his parents, Josephine and Charles Ange, sisters Connie Villone and Louise Oklevitch, and his in-laws J.B. and Willene Long, Charles is survived by his wife of fifty-seven years, Helen, one daughter, Danalyn Bryce (Chaelly), son Charles "Mitch" Ange (Vickie), of Cache and son Steve Gilbert, Lawton; ten grandchildren: Telesa Schultz (David); Tara Ange-Wells (Chin Yong); Zack Ange (Jetta); Charleigh Cole (Chris); Daniel Gilbert (Shae); Katie Hampton (Daniel); Emily Williams (Braden); Heather Myers (Stetson); Clayton Bryce, and Delaney Bryce; eight great-grandchildren: Mariah Simpson; Anthony Schultz: Alex Schultz; Riot Williams; and Olivia Hampton; Shailyn Wells; Chandler Cole; and Cruz Cole; six siblings: Augie Ange (Deanna); John Ange (Susan); Elaine Bargo; SaraJane Heberle; Kay Pulici; and Sue Thomasino; and numerous nieces and nephews.
