Henry Wilson Acers

February 28, 1943 - June 11, 2017

Henry Wilson Acers, age 74, of Cache passed away Sunday, June 11, 2017 at Comanche County Memorial Hospital in Lawton.
Henry was born on February 28, 1943 in Los Angeles, California to Henry Sr. and Elizabeth (Martin) Acers. He graduated from high school in Manchester, Iowa in 1963. He enlisted in the United States Army in April of 1963, where he proudly served his country for over fifteen years. While in the Army, Henry earned several awards, medals and commendations. On June 19, 1965, Henry married his true love, Barbara Peterson, and they would spend the next fifty-one wonderful years together. Henry worked as a car salesman for many years and was also Santa at Central Mall for seven years. In his free time, Henry enjoyed reading, watching old westerns and NASCAR, but he loved nothing more than spending time with his family, especially his grandkids.
Preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Elizabeth Acers and one son, Harry Acers, Henry is survived by his wife Barbara Acers of the home; four children, Lori Lantz and husband Kelly of Lawton, Jeff Acers of Cache, Tammy Myers and husband Tony of Cache and Angel Stone and husband Joe of Cache; eight grandkids, Steven, Brittany, Taylor, Alison, Josh, Demi, Megan and Miya along with numerous other relatives and close friends.
