Teresa Ann Sweeten Ginden

ginden-t-a

September 26, 1962 ~ May 23, 2025

Teresa Ann Ginden was born September 26th, 1962 to Carolyn and Roy Sweeten. She attended Lehigh Public Schools and worked on her family farm where she rode horses with her cousins. Teresa enjoyed being a thorn in the side of her cousin Dosha on Saturday nights in Coalgate. Teresa met Steve through a mutual friend, Lynn Calvert, and they fell in love. With city charm and country charm mixing well they were married in only two weeks in 1983. She moved to Chicago with Steve, where Robert was born and they lived for 9 years before moving back to Oklahoma. Teresa was a homemaker. She loved her fur babies Princess, Tobey, and Trixie more than she did Steve sometimes, she loved to take them to the lake. Teresa's favorite thing to do was talk to people to make them happy, sending love and kindness to all of her friends and even total strangers all across the United States that were going through a rough time or just needed some light in the darkness. She was very proud of her son Robert and always talked about and pointed him out to say, "That's my son." when around people. Teresa had many illnesses but kept going and stayed positive until the end of her days.

She is survived by her husband of 41 years, Steve Ginden of Atoka, OK; son, Robert Ginden and friend Latosha Safe of Atoka, OK; grandchildren, Claysen, Chaini, Benjamin; mother, Carolyn Sweeten of Lehigh, OK; cousins, Ann Cathey of Ada, OK, Dosha Sanders of Ada, OK; nephews, Christopher Ginden and wife Jamie of Anna, TX, children, Henry Ginden, Jackson Ginden; niece and nephew, Jennifer Ginden, Alan Ginden; brothers in law, Dave Ginden of Coalgate, OK, Randy Ginden and wife Betty of Skokie, IL; Along with numerous other dearly loved relatives and friends.
