Helen Irene (Parks) Parasich

Helen Irene Parks-Parasich, age 84 went to be with our Lord on December 29, 2010.

She was born July 15, 1926 to Curtis Harvey Parks Sr. & Mabel Irene Smallwood-Parks in Woodward, Oklahoma, where she lived until her father’s death. The family then moved to Oklahoma City, Oklahoma in 1941.

Helen was married to George Parasich of Minersville, Pennsylvania on November 11, 1950 in Oklahoma City. After following George around the world in his career with the US Air Force she settled in Tucson, Arizona in 1972 until her death.

She is predeceased in death by her parents, her husband George, daughter Justina Marie, and brother Curtis Harvey Parks Jr. She is survived by John D. Parasich Sr. and wife Christeen of Oklahoma City, Okla., Anna Rardin of Alamogordo, New Mexico, Michael A. Parasich of Tucson, Arizona. She is also survived by her sisters Gladys Woodfill of Pineville, Missouri and Pauline Curtis of Houston, Texas, six grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

A Memorial Service will be held January 17, 2011 at Hillcrest Christian Church 1501 SW 59th Oklahoma City at 10:00 am. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Park, Norman, Oklahoma.
