Michael Allen Hare

Michael Allen Hare was born August 11, 1949 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Bill and Marion Hare. He graduated from Moore High School in 1968. He married his high school sweetheart Diana (Parnell) Hare in 1970. Diana and Mike have three daughters and 4 grandchildren.

Mike joined the US Navy and served our country 4 years, including a tour in Viet Nam. Mike retired from General Motors. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He enjoyed spending time with his father-in-law at Lake Eufaula. He loved spending time with his grandchildren no matter what they were doing. They were all very special to him. Mike passed into Glory on February 17, 2016 at Baptist Hospital after a battle with leukemia. He fought hard but God needed him in heaven.

He is preceded in death by his father Bill Hare, Mother, Marion Hare, mother in law, Imogene Parnell, brother Steve Hare and grandson Dane Shaw.

He is survived by his wife of 46 years, three daughters, Nikki McDown and her husband Jeff, Britney Deal and her husband Daniel, Paige Hare and Jon Boyd, four grandchildren, Gavin and Garrett McDown, Jacie Deal, and Allie Shaw. He is also survived by two brothers, Pat Hare and Ernie Hare of Weleetka, Ok.

Funeral Services for Mike will be held Monday, February 22, 2016 at 2:00 pm in the Chapel at Resthaven Funeral Home. The family will receive visitors Sunday, Feb. 21 from 2:00 to 4:00 pm at the funeral home.
