Aaron Donnell McCray, Jr., 22, of Norman parted this life, February 15, 2014 in Norman. Aaron was born January 15, 1992 in Norman, Oklahoma to proud parents Tonya Jean Barry and Aaron D. McCray, Sr. (Karen).

Aaron was the first born of five children. He attended Norman Public Schools from Kindergarten through his Senior year. He graduated from Norman High School in 2010. After graduating high school he served briefly in the United States Army. He went on to attend Moore-Norman Technology Center where he obtained his Certified Nursing Assistant certification. Aaron was employed as a Certified Nursing Assistant for various places, such as the V.A. Center, Holiday Heights, Clarebridge, and most recently Rambling Oaks.

Aaron was a very adventurous kid who loved sports, especially football. He was a huge fan of the Texas Longhorns. Aaron enjoyed camping, hanging out with his family and friends, and fast cars. He gave his life to Christ at a young age. Aaron was a member of Community Missionary Baptist Church, where he was a part of brotherhood.

He was preceded in death by his great-grandparents, David and Luberta Freeman, and Hubler and Annie Stringer, all of Bogalusa, Louisiana.

Aaron is survived by his mother, Tonya J. Barry; his father, Aaron D. McCray, Sr. and wife Karen; his two brothers, Jaron E. McCray of Norman and Josiah Barry of New Hampshire; his six sisters, Alexa McCray, Talia McCray and Takayah McCray, all of Norman, Oklahoma, Brittany Brock of Bogalusa, Louisiana, Bobbi Byrd and Gwen Nelson, both of Kansas; his two beautiful children, Elijah Jean McCray and Naomi Donnell McCray; his grandparents, Maudessa and Keith Beard of Norman, Louis Stringer of Bogalusa, Louisiana, and Rita and Dennis Barry of New Hampshire; his loving godparents, Phyllis and Donald Brawner; his aunt, Felicia Harrell and husband Lance; his uncle, Derrick Stringer; a special friend, Stephanie Grantham; and a host of relatives and friends.

Aaron was a loving father, son, brother, nephew, cousin and a dear friend to many. He will be greatly missed by all. Rest in Peace our precious angel. We know that one day we will see you again.-Your Family.

Arrangements for Aaron and his family were placed in the care of the Vice family at the Havenbrook Funeral Home of Norman
