Veda Mae Chandler

Veda Chandler Veda Mae (Wright) Chandler, 83, passed away on August 15, 2013. She was born to George and Lois Wright on June 30, 1930, in Roll, Oklahoma.

She married Winston Chandler in 1949 and later moved to Oklahoma City, where she was employed by Tinker Air Force Base. Winston, Veda, and daughter Karen moved to Norman Oklahoma in 1973 where they raised and showed Arabian horses for many years.

Veda was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and brother.

She is survived by her daughter, Karen Jobe, grandson, Daniel Jobe, granddaughter, Lauren Jobe and wife Marissa and many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.

Her smile lit up a room and her laugh was contagious. Her brilliant mind never faltered. Veda was a grand woman and she will be missed.

Memorial service will be held Wednesday, August 21, at 2:00 p.m. at the Barnes Friederich Funeral Home with Burial at Sunset Memorial Cemetery.
