Rylan Warren Jade Thompson, 11, of Norman passed away on Sunday, April 16, 2017, Easter Morning.

Rylan was born on September 13, 2005 in Norman, OK to Brandon Thompson and Jennifer King.

He was preceded in death by Mildred Thompson, “Nana” Nancy King, and Russel William Carls.

Rylan was survived by his Parents: Brandon and Olivia Thompson and Jennifer King; grandparents, John and Teri Orth, Randy and Rhonda Thompson and Keith King; Great-Grandfather, Walter Vanderburg; and siblings: Scarlet and Warren Thompson and Dylan and Lyla King.

Rylan taught us that life is a gift. He was loved by all those that cared for him, who saw his beauty, his fragility, his dependence as gifts. He made each person who cared for him stronger, kinder, gentler and more generous. He asked for nothing, but gave so much-for in him, we all recognize our own needs for unconditional acceptance, love and care.
For such a little person, Rylan has had a huge and lasting impact.

Services to celebrate Rylan’s life will be held on Thursday, April 20, 2017 at 10:00 am at CrossPointe Church in Norman with burial to follow at St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery, Norman.
