Graveside Services for Mrs. Alice Seifert, age 73, of Norman, will begin at 11:00 am Monday, December 19, 2011 at the St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, 1913 North Porter in Norman with Deacon Byron Jacobson officiating.

Alice was born August 8, 1938 in Girard, Kansas the daughter of Tony and Enid Eulalia (Frogue) Dechario.  She passed away Wednesday, December 14, 2011 at the Norman Specialty Hospital. 

Alice was raised and attended schools in Girard, graduating from Girard High School in 1956.  She later enrolled at the Kansas State Teachers College in Pittsburg, Kansas, obtaining a Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance in 1960. 
She was united in marriage to Mr. Jan Edward Seifert in August of 1960 in Girard.  Later in 1976, Jan and Alice moved to Norman, where Alice served as the Organist for St. Michael's Episcopal Church and the Trinity Lutheran Church for many years.
Alice volunteered many years for the Norman Meals on Wheels and opened her home to foster children on more than one occasion.  She had a giving spirit and enjoyed helping others in need.   

She is survived by two sons, Kurt Seifert of Norman, OK; Erich Seifert of Seattle, Washington; one daughter, Gretchen Seifert of Centralia, Missouri; two grandchildren, Sydney Seifert-Gram and Sophie Gram; and one brother, Tony H. Dechario and his wife, Gill of Rochester, New York.

Memorial donations may be made in memory of Alice Ann Seifert to the Norman Meals on Wheels, P.O. Box 1371, Norman, OK 73070.
