On March 3, 2016 after 79 years of a life well lived, Wayne Elliott Tice left his earthly home.

He was born February 19, 1937 in Oklahoma City to Orville and Imogene (Gatewood) Tice. Wayne was a graduate of Capitol Hill High School and later went on to join the United States Navy, where he served four years. He married Mary Jo Cole, and two children came from this union. Later, Wayne worked as a truck driver and retired after more than 20 years.

Wayne was preceded in death by his parents; beloved wife of 45 years, Mary Jo Tice; brother, Kenneth Tice; and sister, Beverly Shannafelt.

He is survived by his son, Elliott Tice; daughter, Jennifer Rose and husband Tim; grandchildren: Kari Tice, Steven Rose, and Phillip Rose; and sisters, Dianna Dunford and LaWanda Goodwin.
