Nellie LaVerne Pierce, 80, passed away November 10, 2009 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.  She was born June 12, 1929 in Gould, Oklahoma to William and Eva Brown.
 
Nellie enjoyed gardening, crocheting, water skiing, making crafts and she loved to play with her grandchildren.
 
She is survived by her husband Marvin Pierce of 65 years; sons, Lennis Pierce, and Jesse Robert Pierce of Oklahoma City; daughter, Sue Ellen Wood of Oklahoma City; brothers, Lester Brown of Elgin,  Jessie L. Brown, Ira Robert Brown, Floyd Brown, Billy Brown all of Lawton and Galvin Brown of  Faxon; sister, Lillie Ellen Gann of Lawton; grandchildren, Rebecka Wood, Crystal Wood and Ryan Pierce; great grandchildren, Brandon Richards, Alicia Wood, Alex Wood, Adam Wood, Zakery Pierce and Destinee Porter.

She is preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Kenneth Brown; sisters Eva Nichols and Martha Byrd and one great grandchild, Kody Pierce.
