Michael Sam Phillips After 31 years of a life well lived, Michael Sam Phillips said goodbye to his earthly home in the early morning hours of February 19, 2016.

He was born July 9, 1984 in Oklahoma City to Mary (Mai Thi Le) and Charlie Phillips. Following high school, Michael began his working career in heat and air. He went on to discover he enjoyed plumbing more than heat and air and thus began his time in the plumbing business. Always working with his hands, Michael also enjoyed working on and restoring cars.
Michael’s true passion was service to others. If you needed something he was there, smile on his face, ready to help in any way that he could. Michael had a “can do” attitude, and nothing stood in his way. He lived in the moment, not looking too far ahead so he could just take in all that was going on right then. Michael discovered a love of traveling when he met his beloved Denise, and their time together took them from Oklahoma to Arkansas to Florida and to the Caribbean. Described by his family as selfless, kind, helpful, hardworking and a little hard headed, Michael was witty and a joy to be around. . He was a blessing to everyone he met and had a truly blessed life.

Left to cherish Michael’s memory are his parents, Charlie and Mary Phillips; his sister, Judy Phillips; wife, Denise Martinez and the extended Martinez family; numerous other aunts, uncles, cousins, family and many friends.
