God had a Tee Time for Bobbie which she had to keep Saturday, May 17, 2014 at 3:35 p.m. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 21, 2014 at Resthaven Cemetery, Oklahoma City, OK. Arrangements are under the direction of Walker-Brown Funeral Home.
Bobbie Jean Garrett was born July 12, 1928 in Oklahoma City to Marvin and Leona (Lanham) Peterman. Bobbie married William "Bill" Garrett on May 31, 1952 in Oklahoma City. Bobbie liked people and people liked her. She was very active in the community serving in the Jane Phillips Auxiliary for many years including one-day surgery in charge of volunteers. She retired in July 2013. She enjoyed bowling, Bridge, Bunko and played golf at both Adams & Hillcrest Country Clubs during playing season. She once had a Hole-in-One at the Adams 118 yards, Hole 16 on July 2, 1981. She was scared of heights, but told Bill she wanted to learn to fly. She attended Flight School and passed the FAA four hour test the first time and soloed.
Bobbie is survived by her husband Bill of the home along with numerous nieces, nephews and many friends.
Bobbie was preceded in death by her parents, brother Bill Peterman and sister Marveena Campbell.
