Services for Dayton A Dodson were held at 2 p.m. Monday, September 8, 1969 at the First Baptist Church in Norman under the direction of Primrose Funeral Home. 

Burial was in Resthaven Cemetery with Masonic graveside services.

Dayton A Dodson was born in Fayette Alabama on December 21, 1910 and passed away on Friday , September 5, 1969 at Norman Municipal Hospital following an extended illness.
He moved to Norman in 1938 and had been employed with the state highway department 15 years before he opened a service station in Norman. He was a member of the Masons and the First Baptist Church.

He was married to Velma Pauline Mercer in 1933 and she survives him.
He is also survived by two sons, Gary of Norman and Andy of Nashville Tennessee; three brothers, George of Piedmont California, Guy and Fred both of Sapulpa; and two sisters, Mrs. A. L. Holden of Houston and Mrs. Roy Page of Lubbock Texas
