Viewing will be Monday, August 31, 2020 from 4-8 PM and Tuesday, September 1, 2020 from 4-8 PM with family present from 4-6 PM, Tuesday evening at the funeral home. A memorial to celebrate Otis's life will be limited to only family due to concerns associated with Covid-19, and will be held at the Vondel L. Smith South Lakes Chapel, with burial to follow at Resthaven Memory Gardens.

Otis, 81, left this world August 28, 2020 to reunite with his devoted wife of 59 years, Karen. Otis was born in Oklahoma City to Carl and Goldia Truelove on October 30, 1938. On November 9, 1957, Otis married the love of his life, Karen Daley. Their marriage was blessed with a daughter and 3 sons. Otis was a hard-working brick layer, home builder, and pool hall and game room owner until he retired. He loved his family with all of his heart, and devoted himself to making sure his family was provided for during good and bad economic times. He coached his sons in little league baseball, and adored his grandkids and great grandkids. He was a loving and devoted husband, Dad, PaPa, and Great PaPa who will be deeply missed.

Otis was preceded in death by his parents; wife Karen; daughter Lucretia Renee, who lived 36 hours; sisters Constance Elaine Truelove, Annabel Truelove, Carroll A. Alexander, Virginia L. Williams, and Lillie Mae Pratz; and brothers Melvin Truelove, Darriel Ray Truelove, and Chester A. Truelove.

He leaves behind sons Ron Truelove and wife Mikia; Rickey Truelove and wife Bonnie; Reggie Truelove and wife JoDon; 10 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; and many other beloved family and friends.
