Larry Galbraith, age 75, passed away on April 22, 2013, from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident April 7th.  Larry was born on April 11, 1938 in Alva, Oklahoma, to Howard and Bernice Galbraith. 

Larry graduated from Midwest City High School in 1956 and married his high school sweetheart, Chloe Shannon Kent, and they shared a beautiful and loving 40 plus years of marriage before Chloe’s passing in 1999.  He worked at Tinker AFB and retired after 35 years of civil service.

Larry enjoyed playing softball for many years with the Tinker Comptrollers, enjoyed camping and boating at Lake Eufaula, and playing golf.  He enjoyed spending time fishing and swimming with his grandchildren at his home.  In 2003, Larry met a loving and caring lady, Barbara Jean Johnson, whom he married in 2004.  They enjoyed the mountains of Colorado in their motor home and riding their motorcycle with the Old Farts Motorcycle Club (OFMC). 

Larry is survived by his wife of 9 years, Barbara Jean Galbraith; two daughters, Tammy Vanderford and Tina Dormier and her husband Paul; grandsons, Taylor Vanderford and Joshua Smith; granddaughters, Samantha Smith and Shannon Kamphaus and her husband Jared Kamphaus; special friends, Richard and Carol Harrison; and numerous other friends and extended family members.

Larry is preceded in death by his first wife; his parents; and sister, Sherry Lam.

Visitation will be held 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., Thursday, April 25, 2013.  Funeral services will begin at 2:00 p.m., Friday, April 26, 2013, at Resthaven Funeral Home Chapel, 500 Southwest 104th Street, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma with interment to follow at Resthaven Memory Gardens. 

Arrangements for Larry and his family were placed in the care of the Vice family at the Havenbrook Funeral Home of Norman, Oklahoma.  Online condolences may be shared at www.havenbrookfuneralhome.com.
