Norma Yvonne Carr passed away peacefully on Nov. 27, 2016, at her home. She was born on March 18, 1938, to Norma and Hauttie Baker.

She lived most of her life in Oklahoma City and attended Capitol Hill High School. On Sept. 9, 1954, she married Jerry Lynn Carr.

Yvonne was a loving and devoted mother of four children, eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Family was always an important part of her life. Holidays, especially Christmas and family gatherings, where all of her family would be near, were her most treasured times.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, Willis Baker, James Baker, and Darrell Baker; and sisters, Juanita Schmidt and Wynanell Kerfoot. She is survived by her devoted husband, Jerry Carr; children, Rickey Carr and wife Jan, Tammy Brakebill and husband Jim, Cindy Baxter, and Gregory Carr; and sisters, Trilby McQueen and Eva Lou Anderson.

A Celebration of Yvonne's Life will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 30 in the Chapel at Resthaven.
