Reverend Paul Box, 83, passed from this life into heaven, on November 28, 2014. He was born May 29, 1931 in Oklahoma City, OK. He married Pattye Box, Dec. 19, 1952 and was married for 53 years.

A graduate of Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, he and Pattye served as IMB Missionaries in 3 countries, and pastored 5 churches stateside. He also served as a regional Personal Representative for the IMB, covering 19 states.

Following his retirement, he was Interim Pastor of 14 churches. Paul was Pastor Emeritus of First Baptist Church of Moore, OK., where he pastored for 17 years.

Preceded in death by his wife Pattye, his parents, and 4 brothers.

He leaves his daughters, Paulia Merrell & husband James of OK, Pam Bowen & husband, Lex of GA and Son Phil Box & wife Melody of TX and one Sister, Helen Blackhawk of Bakersfield CA; 6 Grandchildren; and 5 Great Grandchildren.

Brother Paul's greatest desire was for people to come to know and serve the Lord he so passionately loved.

Viewing hours will be Monday, December 1, 2014 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Resthaven Funeral Home and Tuesday December 2, 2014 from 12:00 to 1:30 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Moore. The service celebrating his life will follow at 2 PM at the First Baptist Church of Moore.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are requested to be made to the building fund of FBC Moore or to the Lottie Moon Christian offering for international missions
