Black, Betty June, 81, passed away Sunday, August 28, 2011 in Norman, Oklahoma. 

She was born in Kismet KS, and graduated from Kismet High School and worked as a bank teller in Plains Kansas.  She married Lester A. Black in 1948 who then worked for Panhandle Eastern Pipeline. Betty had two children; Shari Villani Swoyer and Leslie Black.  During her lifetime, she was highly regarded as an artist and craftsperson. 

She is survived by two sisters; Shirley and Twila, and one brother, Don; her former husband, Les Black, her two children, Shari Villani Swoyer of Norman, OK and Leslie Black of Grand Prairie, TX, three grandchildren and two great grandchildren. 

Graveside services will be held 9:00 a.m., Tuesday, September 6, 2011 at I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Norman.  Arrangements are under the direction of Havenbrook Funeral Home.
