Jerelyn "Jere" (Johnson) Agar

Jere Johnson Agar died peacefully in her home in the early morning hours of June 7, 2013.  She was 82. 

A lifelong Norman resident, Jere was married to Jim Agar for over 60 years.

She is survived by her four children; Graham Agar of Austin, TX, Lacy Barrett of Norman, OK, Adrienne Hernández of San Antonio, TX and Col. Jim Agar of Washington, DC along with seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. An avid sports enthusiast, golfer and volunteer, she enjoyed giving back to her local community. She was adored by her family and will be missed by her many, many friends.

Arrangements for Jere and her family were placed in the care of the Vice family at the Havenbrook Funeral Home of Norman.

Services will be held at Saint John’s Episcopal Church in Norman, Oklahoma on Wednesday, June 12, at 10:00 a.m. followed by a reception in the church Commons.

Interment services will follow at I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Norman, Oklahoma. 

The family asks that memorial donations be made to St. John’s Episcopal church in Jere’s honor.
