Howard, Don, 70, passed away Wednesday, July 20, 2011 in Norman, Oklahoma. 

He was born December 21, 1940 in Wichita Falls, TX to Frank and Mae (Coats) Howard.  Don was united in marriage to Rose Mary Shobert on August 17, 1968 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. 

Don served in the United States Army and was a salesman for over 40 years.  He enjoyed coaching his girls softball and basketball teams, fishing with his girls in all kinds of weather, hunting, and traveling with his family.  He raised and trained pointer bird dogs, and one of them became a champion bird dog.  His family and friends will miss his practical jokes and  competitive personality.

He is survived by his wife, Rose Mary Howard; one daughter, Keli Foster and husband Alan of Noble, OK; one sister, Kathy Alexander of TX; one granddaughter, Alyssa Foster; and several nieces and nephews. 

He is preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Lori Howard and one sister, Frankie Harris.

Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m., Saturday, July 23, 2011 in the Chapel of Havenbrook Funeral Home with interment following in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Noble, Oklahoma.  Arrangements are under the direction of Havenbrook Funeral Home.
