Melton, RJ, 67, of OKC, went to the Lord on Dec. 20, 2008. He was born on Jan. 7, 1941 to Raymond & Cletta (Palmer) Melton in OKC, OK.
RJ was a retired OKC Police Officer with 21 years of service and was a longtime member of Southern Hills Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents; 1st wife Patricia (Bird) Melton, a 2nd wife Karen (Kern) Melton and one son, Randy Melton.
RJ is survived by 2 sons, David & Kenneth Melton; 2 daughters, Shannon Kowals & Angela Wilkinson; sister, Carolyn Lawyer, 15 grandchildren & 2 great grandchildren; and a host of other family & friends.
The family would like to thank Dr. Manuel Crespo & Dr. Dennis Parker for their gracious care.
