Daniel Russell Skinner died April 25, 2014 in Lexington at the age of 55 years 8 months 27 days. Funeral Services are scheduled for 1:00 PM, Tuesday, April 29, 2014 at Wadley’s Funeral Chapel.

Interment will follow at Lexington Cemetery under the care of Wadley’s Funeral Service.

Danny was born July 29, 1958 to Lonnie and Carolyn Jane (Hamm) Skinner in Lexington, Oklahoma, where he was raised and attended school. Danny worked in construction for many years. He was baptized into the General Assembly and Church of the First Born on September 19, 1976. Danny married Barbara Simmons on November 28, 1978 in Gainsville, Texas. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Danny was ordained on October 6, 1992, and went on many calls for the brethern. He loved going on all the camp outs, fishing, and hunting with the brethern. He enjoyed traveling, singing, serving the Lord and helping people.

Danny is preceded in death by his parents, Lonnie and Carolyn Skinner; brothers, Larry and Drew Skinner; sister, Tina Henderson; daughter, Lisa Sanders; grandchildren, Russell and Austin.

Survivors include his wife, Barbara of the home; daughters, Cher Hayles and husband, Keith of Lexington, Heather Reeves of Pine Bluff, Arkansas, Cristy Barnes and husband, Yancy of Stillwater, Jesika Skinner of the home; sons, Billy Skinner and wife, Brandy of Lexington, Danny Skinner, Jr of Lexington, Jeramy Skinner of Lexington, David Skinner and wife, Letia of Norman, Larry Skinner and wife, Cassie of California, Billy Skinner of the home; grandchildren, Lilly, Chloe', Destiny, Lee, Dalton, Jake, Waylon, Braeden, Ian, Preston, Lanyee, Braxley, David, Brian, Kaleb, Dylan; sisters, Rhonda Outlaw, Nina Henderson, Gwin Hill, Nelda Collins; brothers, Eugene Skinner, Melvin Skinner, Joel Skinner, Dallas Skinner, Abe Skinner; mother in law, Luceal Skinner and many other relatives and friends.
