Gracie Jo Northcutt, age 95 of Madill, formerly of Lexington passed away Friday, January 2, 2015 in Madill. Gracie was born October 13, 1919 near Slaughterville, OK. She was the eleventh child of eleven children born to Vince Page and Minnie Dee (Rutledge) Page. Gracie grew up a farm girl, living in the Slaughterville and Lexington communities. At age 21 she met the love of her life, a young man by the name of Alton Hollis Northcutt. They were married on November 2, 1940 in the First Baptist Church in Purcell’s parsonage. She and Alton raised one son, Larry and they made their first home in Slaughterville before moving to Lexington in 1951. Gracie was a faithful Christian and was an active member of the Lexington First Baptist Church for many years. As her health began to fail in her later years, she moved to Madill, OK in 2008 to be close to her son Larry and wife Helen. Gracie not only worked as a homemaker but she worked outside of the home for many years. She worked 21 years as a seamstress for Jackson’s Upholstery in Norman. Then she worked 12 years in the kitchen and laundry room at the Central State Hospital in Norman before retiring in 1984. Throughout her life, Gracie enjoyed being in the outdoors and attending to her flower gardens. She loved her pets, she enjoyed feeding the birds and she could make just about anything with her hands. She loved working with crafts, she was a fabulous quilter and unbelievable cook. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by: Parents, Vince & Minnie Page; Husband, Alton Northcutt; 10 Brothers & Sisters, Jim Page, Gerald Page, Edna Guyer, Willie Price Page, Gladys Page, Delia Scott, Ethel Shiver, Rena Curtis, Bessie Banks and Vertis Shores; One granddaughter, Alecia Northcutt;

She is survived by: One Son, Larry Northcutt & wife Helen of Kingston; Granddaughter, Dr. Marcia Warren & husband Clint of Mustang; Three great grandchildren, Jentri Warren, Jace Warren and Brynli Warren; Brother-in-law, Jude Northcutt of OKC; Three sister-in-laws, Margaret Northcutt of Panama City, FL, Betty Northcutt of Norman, Donnie Neil Northcutt of Lexington; Also many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Tuesday, January 6th, 2015 at the Wilson-Little Funeral Home Chapel in Purcell. Burial will be at the Lexington Cemetery
