Glenn Mowdy age 78 of Lexington, passed away Friday, October 12, 2018 at Integris Baptist Hospital in OKC.   Glenn was born on November 16, 1939 in Mowdy, Oklahoma near Coalgate. He was the youngest of five children born to Jim Glenn Mowdy and Susan Ella (Hough) Mowdy.

Growing up a country boy, Glenn learned how to work hard when he was younger and he kept that same work ethic throughout his life. After graduating from Centrahoma High School in 1958, he enlisted into the U. S. Army and proudly served his country for three years, three months and three days.   While in the service he married Wanda Ulene Tomlinson. They were married on Feb. 21, 1960 and later raised three children, Annette, Janet and Tony.

Glenn and Ulene first lived in Columbus, Georgia while he was still in the service. After being honorably discharged they moved back to Oklahoma and Glenn worked construction.   In 1967, they settled in the Lexington community where they live today. Glenn worked 24 years as a Mechanic and at various other jobs at Tinker Air Force Base in Del City. After retiring in 1991, he became a full-time farmer and rancher with his son Tony. For many years they did custom hay bailing with the grandsons. Glenn loved being in the outdoors and working with his own hands. He also took great pride in teaching his daughters, son and grandchildren the value of hard work.   His wife, his work and family was his life and he did them all very well.

He was preceded in death by:
