Ruby Looman, age 85 of Purcell, passed away Saturday December 3, 2016, at the Purcell Care Center.

Ruby Sue Poe was born March 16, 1931, in the Lone Star Community northeast of Lexington. Her parents were Napoleon Bonaparte Poe and Delia Mae (Page) Poe. Ruby married Elvas Lorn Looman on February 26, 1948 and together they raised 3 sons, Loran, Don and Jerry. Ruby worked some as a nurse’s aide, although her greatest joy was being a wife and mother. She was a Christian and of the Baptist faith. When not working, she enjoyed reading and tending to her garden, and she loved working crossword puzzles. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother, and will be dearly missed!

She was preceded in death by: Her son, Don Looman; Husband, Elvas Looman; Her parents, Napoleon Bonaparte and Delia Poe; A sister, Ruth Banks and her Brother, Robert Poe.

Ruby leaves behind: 2 sons, Loran Looman and wife Barbara of Wayne and Jerry Looman of Purcell; 4 grandchildren, Courtney Donn Looman of Cushing, OK, Jennifer Waters of McKinney, TX, Josh Looman of Spring Hill, FL and Matt Looman of Purcell; 3 great grandchildren, Brooke Looman, Madison and Morgan Waters, And great grandson, Hank Looman, on the way and A host of other family and friends.

Graveside Funeral Services are scheduled for 2:00 P.M. Monday, December 5, 2016, at the Lexington Cemetery. Arrangements by Wilson-Little Funeral Home of Purcell.
