Funeral services for Thelma Faye Johnson, 59, of Lexington were held Sept. 23, 2005 at the General Assembly and Church of the First Born in Purcell with Allen Idlett, Danny Skinner and Billy Jo Mannis officiating. Interment was at Lexington Cemetery under the direction of Wadley’s Funeral Service in Purcell.
Mrs. Johnson died Sept. 20, 2005 in Lexington.
She was born Feb. 10, 1946 in DeWitt, Ark., the daughter of George Clarence and Myrtle Mae Burris Wilkinson. She was reared and attended school in DeWitt. She had lived in the Cleveland/McClain County area for the past 2-1/2 years.
Mrs. Johnson was a janitor and housekeeper in Bartlesville and worked at the Sonic in Stillwater.
She was a member of the General Assembly and Church of the First Born.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Lynette Faye Reed; a grandson, Kevin Reed; two brothers, Junior Wilkinson and Evertt Wilkinson and two sisters, Marie Edwards and Lorene Waters.
Survivors include four sons, Mickel Reed and his wife, Jonie, of Stillwater, David Reed and his wife, Diane, of Tonkawa, Chad Reed and his wife, Yvonne, of San Antonio, Texas, and Richard Chartier of Lexington; brothers and sisters, Christine Arnold of Rosebud, Ark., Mary Lucille Skinner of Lexington, Melvin Wilkinson and his wife, Mary, of Tulsa, Marvin Wilkinson and his wife, Freda, of Alturas, Calif., and Alvin Wilkinson and his wife, Yvette, of Broken Arrow and 12 grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Marvin Wilkinson, Shane Wilkinson, Levi Wilkinson, Gerald Wilkinson, Harry Wilkinson and Stezen (Booda) Jackson.
Honorary pallbearers were Jacob Reed, Andre Reed, Hunter Reed, Andrew Reed, Seth Reed, Dacoda Reed, Kaylee Reed, Heather Reed, Lillian Reed, Ryan Reed and Deidre Reed.
