Irma Jean Hall, 88, of Blanchard, died Sunday, June 5, 2016, at her home. The daughter of Tom Lee Fry and Pearl Ann (Lewis) Fry, she was born March 29, 1928, in Lexington, Oklahoma.

She grew up in Lexington and graduated from Lexington High School. She married Rev. John Robert “J.R.” Hall on December 15, 1945, in Purcell. Irma was a homemaker and served alongside her husband as a “preacher’s wife.” She was a longtime member of the First Free Will Baptist Church in Blanchard where her husband served as pastor. Irma had a servant’s heart and spent countless hours doing acts of kindness for others, no matter what the need was. She loved animals and often fed the stray dogs and cats that crossed her path. She loved watching and participating in sports and was quite athletic in her younger years. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her parents; an infant son, Michael Lee Hall; her husband Rev. J.R. Hall; and four sisters, Reba Van Winkle, Alta Waddle, Myrtle Mixon, and Jewel Hunt.

Irma is survived by one daughter, Jeanie Jones and husband, Dave, of Choctaw; two sons, Dr. Robert Hall and wife, Sheri, of Ardmore, and Rev. Tandell Hall and wife, Tammie, of Blanchard; ten grandchildren, Thaja Giles and husband, Ryan, of Newcastle, Tara Simon and husband Chris, of Choctaw, Tia Simons and husband, Michael, of Choctaw, Brandon Hall and wife, Crystal, of Alabama, Casey Hall and wife, Brittney, of Lone Grove, Tanda Maguire and husband, Shawn, of Oklahoma City, Tristan Cole and husband, Joseph, of Harrah, Tyler Hall of Oklahoma City, James Gable and wife, Kristen, of Michigan, and Ryan Rogers of Lone Grove; eighteen great grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM, Wednesday, June 8, 2016, at the funeral home. Funeral service will be at 1:00 PM, Thursday, June 9, 2016 at the First Free Will Baptist Church in Blanchard. Burial will follow in the Lexington Cemetery in Lexington.
