Anna Maud (Mongold) & Robert Lee Ewing

Lexington Cemetery
Cleveland County, Oklahoma

Tombstone

It was probably taken about the time of their wedding, which was on 24 Nov 1897 in Lexington.

Robert Lee Ewing and his family. He is sitting down in front, with his wife, Anna Maude Mongold Ewing sitting beside him. Their four children and probably their daughter-in-law are standing behind them. I'm not sure who is who except their son, Leonard Alvin is on the far right and probably his first wife, May Wilkerson next to him. Since they were married in 1924 and the clothing the rest are wearing, I would guess the photo was taken in the mid to late 20s. Robert and Maude's daughters (in order of birth) were Florence Amy (Kelly), Mary Leola (Womack), and Ocea Ada (Greenwood) Ewing.

Anna Maude (Mongold) Ewing, probably taken after the death of Robert Lee Ewing, which happened in 1940. Anna Maude Mongold's parents were Florence Jane Stahl and John Mongold. They are buried in the Wanette Cemetery, located in Pottawatomie County, Oklahoma

Obit of Robert Lee.  Son of Charles Dilmus & Mary Elizabeth Ewing who are buried in the Willow View Cemetery.
