Roberta Ann Elmore age 64, of Lexington went home to be with her Lord on Saturday, May 14, 2016 after a brief illness.

She was born on June 27, 1951 in Pauls Valley, OK. She was the 4th child of six children born to Paul Levi Combs and Ruth Naomi (Phillips) Combs. Roberta grew up a farm girl living in the Spring Hill Community east of Lexington. She attended the Lexington schools, graduating with the class of 1970. That same year she married her best friend and love of her life, William Ray Elmore. They were married on October 3, 1970 in Lexington. Together Roberta and Ray raised three children, Anne, Shane and Markes. They made their home in the Noble area for 25 years before moving back to the Lexington area in 1997. Roberta worked 17 years for Norman Regional Hospital, retiring as a Unit Secretary this past April. She was a faithful Christian and member of the Rose Hill Pentecostal Church of God, east of Lexington. For many years she served as the church Pianist and as the church Secretary. Throughout her life she enjoyed gardening, cooking, canning, sewing and crocheting. Her favorite thing to do was collecting frog’s memorabilia and salt and pepper shakers. She will be remembered as a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother. She was a special sister and a special aunt.

She was preceded in death by: Parents, Paul and Naomi Combs; One sister, Betty Cossey;

She is survived by: Husband, Ray Elmore of the home; Daughter, Anne Elmore of Moore; Two sons, Shane Elmore and wife Melody of Moore, Markes Elmore and fiancé of Noble; Two sisters, Juanita Garner and husband Bill of Lexington, Sheri Meeks and husband Randall of Lexington, Two brothers, Don Combs and wife Sharon of Lexington, Jim Combs and wife Mitzi of Lexington; 9 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, Also many nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Tuesday, May 17, 2016 at Wilson-Little Funeral Home Chapel in Purcell. Interment will be at the Lexington Cemetery. Send online condolences @wilsonlittle.com
