Glenda Dockter, age 57 of Oklahoma City, passed away Wednesday May 27, 2015.

Glenda Carol Douglas was born May 19, 1958 in Rocky Ford, CO. Her parents were Van Dorn Douglas and Carolyn Delores (King) Douglas. Glenda lived in various places and states as a young girl, as her parents followed work. They settled in Colorado near Pueblo, and Glenda graduated from South High School there. On November 27, 1976, Glenda married Jerry Dockter in Pueblo. To this union, two children, son Jake and daughter Shannon were born. They made their home primarily in the Colorado Springs area. Glenda loved her dogs, and especially Chows. She raised and showed Chows for many years. Still very young, Glenda became ill and to help with her transition, Jerry moved her to Oklahoma to be close to her parents. In her later years, Glenda enjoyed giving back when she felt good and spent many days delivering meals on wheels to seniors.

She was preceded in death by: By her father, Van Dorn Douglas in 2014 and Her brother, Larry Douglas.

Glenda leaves behind: Her mother, Carolyn Douglas of Purcell; Son, Jake Dockter and wife Pam of Colorado Springs, CO; Daughter, Shannan Dockter of Security, CO; Brothers, Calvin Douglas of Purcell, Vance Douglas and wife Teresa of Broken Arrow, OK and Matthew Douglas and wife Amber of Benton, Arkansas; 2 grandchildren, Liliana and Benjamin; Special Friend and Caregiver, Jerry Dockter and wife Lee of Purcell and a host of other family and friends.

Graveside Funeral Services are scheduled for 10:00 A.M. Saturday, May 30, 2015, at the Lexington Cemetery. Arrangements by Wilson-Little of Purcell. Send online condolences at wilsonlittle.com
