Billy "Bill" Eugene Chandler died December 6, 2018 in Lexington, Oklahoma at the age of 61 years 11 months 23 days. Funeral Services are scheduled for 2:00 PM, Friday, December 7, 2018 at Wadley’s Funeral Chapel. Interment will follow at Lexington Cemetery, entrusted to the care of Wadley’s Funeral Service.

Bill was born December 14, 1956 in Purcell, Oklahoma to William Harold and Mary Jo (Shea) Chandler. He was the youngest of 5 and the only boy. He grew up with 4 older sisters; Teresa, Mary Lou, Bonnie and Carolyn Sue. Bill lived his entire life in Oklahoma, growing up in Slaughterville, Oklahoma. He also lived in rural Norman for a few years, and Shidler, Oklahoma for 5 years, before settling for the past 20 plus years southeast of Lexington. Bill enjoyed the country life, and spent most of his working life mowing lawns and working outdoors.

In his early years, Bill enjoyed riding dirt bikes and racing motorcross. He always enjoyed camping, fishing, gardening, nature and working around his place. Bill loved listening to music, and for the past several years, he has been writing poetry. His poetry was influenced by his life, family, friends and listening to music by his favorite singer, Nicki Minaj. Bill was a huge Nicki fan, and had many t-shirts of the artist that he wore often. For many years, Bill spent Tuesdays at Harold’s house, and most Saturdays Harold spent at Bill’s house. His father was his best friend and fishing buddy until his passing in May 2015. Bill’s life was forever changed, and he missed all of the time spent with his Dad over the years. Family and friends were a big part of Bill’s life, and he was thankful to all the special people who were a part of his life and always there for him.

Bill is preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Mary Jo; and sister, Mary Lou Cargill. He is survived by his sisters, Theresa Payne and husband, Bob of Ada, Bonnie Keeton and husband, Ken of Edmond, Sue Cargill of Oklahoma City; and many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
