Ken "Randy" Farr, age 70 of Norman, passed away Sunday, August 4, 2019, at the Norman Regional Hospital.

Kenneth Randall Farr was born October 15, 1948 in Holdenville, OK, the oldest of 3 children born to Kenneth Lansing Farr and Cora Ellen (Crow) Farr. He spent his early childhood in Fort Smith, AR and Holdenville, before moving to Moore where he graduated with the Class of 1966. While in school, he joined an ROTC Class and this fueled his desire to serve his country.

Randy joined the United States Army and served proudly in the Vietnam War. His sacrifice was great, but his sense of duty greater, and he carried the weight of both throughout the rest of his life. Randy, while home on leave, met a young woman named Brenda Freed. They fell in love and were married on December 24, 1970 in Oklahoma City. They made their home primarily in Moore, where together they raised two sons, Chris and Jason.

Randy began working at Tinker Air Force Base, and retired as an Oxygen Equipment Specialist.

Randy cherished his family and especially his grandchildren. He was a man of great faith and a member of the Bennett Church of the Nazarene. He will be remembered as a wonderful husband and father, grandfather, brother and a true friend.

He was preceded in death by: His parents, Bud and Tootsie Farr and His brother, Terry Farr.

Randy is survived by: His wife, Brenda Farr of the home; Two sons, Chris Farr of Norman and Jason Farr of OKC; Sister, Janice Williams of Norman; 6 grandchildren, Naythen, Katelyn, Jacob, Taylor, Daxton and Blayke and A host of other family and friends.

Funeral Services are scheduled for 10:00 A.M. Friday, August 9, 2019, at the Bennett Church of the Nazarene, 2919 156th Ave S.E., Norman. Burial will follow at the Fairview Robinson Cemetery.
