Wesley T. Walker, 74, passed from this life Tuesday, December 27, 2016 at his home in the Nelson Community. Wesley was born May 22, 1942 to Wesley and Ruby (McKelvey) Walker in Oney, Oklahoma.

Wesley has been a member of the Nelson community for over forty years. He's been a member of the National Rifle Association for many of those years. Wesley enjoyed spending his time outdoors hunting and shooting his guns. He also enjoyed working on his farm. When Wesley wasn't out hunting or shooting his guns he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

Wesley is preceded in death by his wife Lynda Walker; parents Wesley and Ruby Walker; son Wesley Walker Jr; and brother Jay Walker.

He leaves behind a loving family that includes his son Vernon L. Walker and wife Annettte of Panama City Beach, Florida; brother Erby Walker of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; sister Dolly Ann Shachleford of Jenks, Oklahoma; grandchildren Cory Gardner, David Wesley Walker, Jeremy Gardner, River Sonntag, and Matthew Downey.

Pallbearers will include Ed Audus, Rocky Hensley, Wayne Walker, David Fennell, Gerald Weatherford, Chester Glenn and Benny Titsworth.

Honorary Pallbearers will include Cory Gardner, Jeremy Gardner, Bud Sutton, Bob Holly, Joe Stillwell, Carl Walker, Jerry Tuckett, Sam Renfro, Dwayne Goree, Matthew Downey, Larry Goree, and Raymond Moffatt.

Family night will be held Friday, December 30, 2016 from 6-7 pm at Burkhart Funeral Service of Antlers.

Services will be held Saturday, December 31, 2016 at Burkhart Funeral Service of Antlers at 1:30 p.m. with David Kautt officiating. Interment will follow at Sugar Creek Cemetery in Soper, Oklahoma under the direction of Burkhart Funeral Service of Antlers.
