Funeral services for Roe Dale Dennis Sr. will be held on Saturday, April 24, 2010 at 5:00 p.m. at the Prater-Lampton-Mills & Coffey Chapel with Rev. Tim Harless officiating and burial following in the Sugar Creek Cemetery.

Roe Dale passed away Thursday, April 22, 2010, in Soper, Oklahoma, at the age of 74. Roe Dale Dennis Sr. was born May 27, 1935 in Soper, Oklahoma, to Gatha Herman and Willie Inez (Page) Dennis. He lived in this area all of his life and married Sherry Slaughter on June 28, 1980, in Pine Bluff, AR. He worked for many companies over 50 years including 35 years for Brown and Root. Roe Dale enjoyed doing yard work, gardening, bird hunting, fishing and watching sports.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one nephew, Jared Dennis; close friend, O.T. Willingham.

Roe Dale is survived by his wife Sherry Dennis of the home; ten children, Penny Lee and Bud Dennis of Pampa, TX, Harvey Dennis of Benton, AR, Paula Brady of Bryant, AR, Pam Neffendorf of Pampa, TX, Patricia Reese of Tyler, TX, Stephanie Moya of Ashdown, AR, Terri Cobb of McLain, MS, Danielle Dowling of Ashdown, AR, Dottie Saucier of Texarkana, TX; two brothers, Jerry Dennis and Joe Bill Dennis both of Soper, OK; 38 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; close friend, Sonny Justice; and his construction friends and family.

The family will receive friends Friday, April 23, 2010 from 6:00-7:00 p.m. in the Prater Lampton Mills & Coffey Chapel in Hugo, OK.
