Funeral services for Kayrene Pearl Moffitt, fondly known as "Karo" will be held on Friday, May 3, 2013, at 3:00 p.m. in the Prater-Lampton-Mills & Coffey Chapel with Rev. Larry Womack officiating, and burial following in the Springs Chapel Cemetery in Hugo, Oklahoma. Karo passed from this life surrounded by family on Tuesday, April 30, 2013, at the age of 28.

Karo Gallant was born December 11, 1984, in Paris, Texas, the daughter of Larry Dale Moffitt and Margaret Marie (Staton) Loftin. She had lived in this area all her life and had worked at the Messer Store as well as doing some home health assistance. She married Stephen Lee Gallant in Hugo, OK on February 7, 2012. Karo enjoyed crafts, loved animals, especially her horse Cheyenne, and playing with her children.

She was preceded in death by grandfathers, John Thomas Staton Sr., and John W. Moffitt.

Karo is survived by her husband, Stephen Gallant of the home; her children, Winter Gaze Oakes, Anthony Dagger Oakes, and baby Cassidy Cole Gallant all of the home; two step-sons, Landen Gallant, and Stephen Gallant Jr. both of the home; her father, Larry Moffitt of Hugo, OK; her mother, Margaret Loftin and husband Lynn of Messer, OK; grandparents, Annette Milsap Staton of Hugo, OK, Kaydene Jordan of Huffman, TX, Faye Moffitt of Hugo, OK; brothers and sisters, Larry Moffitt Jr. of Hugo, OK, David Moffitt and wife Sebrina of Goodland, OK, Katonna Moffitt and companion Heath Bolding of Commerce, TX, Kalee Moffitt and companion Dometric "Head" Hickson of Hugo, OK, Austin Loftin, Laura Loftin, and Rowdy Loftin all of Messer, OK; her father-in-law, Troy Gallant of Messer, OK; her mother-in-law, Rebecca Self of Antlers, OK; a special cousin, Tasha Moffitt of Hugo, OK; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends Thursday evening at her mother's home near Messer.
