Clifton Leon Bryant was born July 13, 1937 in Sentinel, Oklahoma, to Hubert Burnice and Zelma Ethel (Hanselman) Bryant. He married Shirley Rhodes on November 11, 1960 in Hugo, OK at Oak Grove Baptist Church. Leon worked in retail, selling automotive parts and owning a used book store. He held a great love for his family, sitting on the porch, dining elegantly everywhere he went, playing his many instruments, managing and training his dogs over the years, and being gut-bustingly hilarious with his quick wit. He will be fondly remembered by all who knew him as a great husband, father, grandfather, and sincere follower of Christ and His Word. He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Doyle Bryant; one brother-in-law, Danny Bailey; and one uncle, E.W. Hanselman.

Leon is survived by wife, Shirley Bryant of the home; two sons, Barry Bryant and wife, Carolyn, and Mike Bryant and wife, Oleta, all of Hugo, OK; one daughter, Nancy Jackson and husband, Tommy, of Broken Bow, OK; six grandchildren, Colby Bryant and wife, Stephanie, of Soper, OK, Britnee Valdez and husband, Erik, of Calera, OK, Chris Bryant and wife, Shyla, of Grant, OK, Birch Bryant of Hugo, OK, Ciera Bryant of Hugo, OK, and Lexee Jackson of Broken Bow, OK; five great-grandchildren, Emmy, Ellison, & Everett Valdez of Calera, OK, and Eliza "Lizzy" & Gabriel Bryant of Soper, OK; one aunt, Sue Hanselman; a god-granddaughter, Riley Janoe; and a host of many other family & friends.

The family will receive friends Monday, August 3, 2015 from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in the Prater-Lampton-Mills & Coffey Chapel in Hugo, OK with a special word given in remembrance by Bro. Rick Lawrenson.
