Funeral services for Charles Earl Baze Sr. will be held on Monday, January 5, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church in Ft. Towson, OK with Bro. Jerry Kendrick officiating and burial following in the Spencerville Cemetery. Charles passed away Wednesday, December 31, 2014 in Ft. Towson, Oklahoma, at the age of 69.

Charles Earl Baze Sr. was born January 4, 1945 in Spencerville, Oklahoma to Billy Joe and Opal C. (Nail) Baze. He had lived in this area all of his life and married Eva Jewel Wilkins on February 10, 2003 in Paris, Texas. He worked for Campbell Soup before he became the Choctaw County “go-to” man, working the graters and heavy machinery. He was still serving as the maintenance man for the Agriplex right up to his passing. Charles’ main passion was family, friends, and wood working. He could be found tinkering with his personal sawmill or firing up the grill for some good eats. Charles was a kindhearted man to all who knew him. He gave to everyone and never met a stranger. Charles was a resourceful man, he could solve any problem that came his way. He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, June Baze; son, Ross Baze; brother, Doug Baze; and sister, Naomi Miller.

Charles is survived by his wife, Jewel Baze of the home; children, Dawn Bond and husband, Stephen of Sawyer, OK, and Charles Earl Baze Jr. “Brother” of Sawyer, OK; step-children, Mindy Boyett, Michael Boyett, and Jimmy Boyett; sisters, Juanell Darity of Swink, OK, and Jo Katherine Dill of Louisville, MS; sister-in-law, Bennie Baze of Messer, OK; grandchildren, Rakelle, Amber, Kevin and Devin; step-grandson, Jordan; great-grandchildren, Zakk, Zaine, Austin, Christiaan and Zoe; also a host of nieces and nephews.
