Judy (Flanagan) Rogers

Judy Flanagan Rogers, surrounded by family and loving friends, passed away on Sunday, September 18 at Baylor Hospital in Dallas. Services for Judy will be held on Thursday, September 22, 2011 at 10 am at the Prater-Lampton-Mills & Coffey Chapel. Rev. Larry Bridges will preside over the funeral with burial following in Soper Cemetery.

Judy was born on March 27, 1947 in Hugo, OK. The daughter of William E. Flanagan and Charlene Hayes, she graduated from Hugo High School in 1965. She married John R. Rogers in Hugo, Oklahoma. Judy worked for the US Postal Service for thirty years retiring as postmaster in 2009, in Bagwell, Texas. Through the years, she attended New Hope Baptist Church and Blossom Church of God. Judy's hobbies were genealogy, gardening and fishing.

Judy is survived by her mother, Charlene (Hayes) Crain of Paris, TX; one son, John R. Rogers, Jr. and wife Debbie of Edmond, OK; one brother, Bill Flanagan and wife Lou of Claremore, OK; two grandsons, Nick and Josh Rogers of Edmond, OK; aunt and uncle, Betty and R.C. Kuhn of Leonard, TX; nephew, Bo Flanagan and wife Tanja and grandniece, Romy Flanagan of Silver Spring, Maryland; cousins, Doris and Lee Forney of Amarillo, TX, Leah and Jim Chance, Hurst, TX; Charles Nowell of Borger, TX; and Larry Creech of Leonard, TX. She is also survived by Judy Tidwell, Sissy Greer, Jean Shannon, Sandie North, Wanda Compton, Peggy Wilson and numerous other special friends.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, September 21 from 7-8 pm at the Prater-Lampton-Mills & Coffey Chapel in Hugo, OK.
