Fran (Hammonds) Riley

Funeral services for Fran Riley will be held on Friday, October 26, 2012, at 10:00 a.m. at the First Baptist Church in Soper, OK with Pastor Rick Westbrook and Pastor Tim Harless officiating and burial following in the Soper Cemetery in Soper, OK.

Fran went home to be with her Lord on Tuesday, October 23, 2012, in Hugo, OK at the age of 74. Frances L. Riley was born May 8, 1938, in Talihina, OK the daughter of Ted and Johnnie (Stillwell) Hammonds. She had lived in this area since 2000, after moving here from Marietta, OK.

Fran married William "Bill" Riley on March 8, 1957, in Irving, TX and was a member of the Methodist Church. She was proud to be a stay at home mom for many years until she returned to beauty school and becoming a cosmetologist, she also worked as a real estate saleswoman and finally a property manager before retiring in 1998. Although personal tragedy struck Fran fourteen years ago leaving her physically handicapped, she never lost her sense of humor or her zest for life. She was a survivor.

Fran is survived by her husband, Bill of Soper, OK; sons, Bob Riley and wife, Tara of Colleyville, TX and Tim Riley and wife, Annette of Cedar, KS; one brother, Chester Hammonds and wife, Carol of Ceres, CA; sister Debbie Hammonds of Arkansas; 7 grandchildren, Krista McLeod, Lauren Bowen, Brandon Riley, Brittany Dailey, Blake Dailey, Dani Riley and Matti Riley and 4 great-grandchildren, Taylor Bowen, Avery Bowen and Braylee Bowen and Mackenzie McLeod; along with numerous cousin's and family friends. She will truly be missed.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, October 25, 2012, from 6:00-7:00 p.m. in the Prater-Lampton-Mills & Coffey Funeral Home Chapel in Hugo, OK.
